As Reaper said, do not you use a prefabricated housing. It will give you the best of your submarines.
It depends on what kind of sound you want to tell you, the card would work best. The housing should be based on the specifications of its submarines, and the sound you are looking for.
Personally, I would like to put the Type-X set in an enclosure that is the 1.75 by the bucket chamber and about 30Hz. You will receive a large extension of the limited range and a good production. This is a site for a good sound quality of its submarines and deep bass.
As for what to look material ...
MDF 3 / 4 "or thicker should be used, as well as some internal bracing. Prefab housing with MDF usually cheap. It isreally so dense that good and the MDF is not very strong.

is the best thing is the self-built or being built for this type of submarine ... very dense, internally as hard as you can prepare to get a room!
They are the best line of the Alps (eg, Pro sries )....
Do not go by in the box shit on some pre-fab
FYI do not expect U-boats, a lot of power ..... they need and can handle much power
